The design of the press brake 1V die is relatively simple, which can be applied to various types and brands of press brakes, with high compatibility and easy replacement and use.

Specifications for the use of press brake dies

Turn on the power of the press brake, turn the key switch, press the oil pump to start, and the press brake oil pump starts to rotate. At this time, the machine has not started working.

Stroke adjustment. A test run is required when the press brake die is officially used for bending work. When the upper die of the press brake descends to the bottom, a gap of the plate thickness must be ensured. Otherwise, the die and the machine will be damaged. The stroke adjustment also has electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment.

Selection of the notch of the press brake die. Generally, a notch with a width of 8 times the plate thickness should be selected. If you bend a 4mm sheet, you need to choose a notch of about 32.

Check the overlap and firmness of the upper and lower dies of the press brake; check whether each positioning device meets the requirements of the processing. Frequently check the overlap of the upper and lower dies; whether the indication of the pressure gauge meets the regulations.

The sheet must be compacted when bending to prevent the sheet from tilting up and injuring the operator during bending.


When adjusting the sheet die, the power must be cut off and the operation must be stopped.

When changing the opening of the lower die of the variable press brake, no material is allowed to contact the lower die.

It is forbidden to use the press brake die to bend super thick iron plates or quenched steel plates, high-grade alloy steel, square steel and plates that exceed the performance of the sheet press brake to avoid damaging the machine tool.

To turn off the press brake, place wooden blocks on the lower die under the oil cylinders on both sides to lower the upper slide onto the wooden blocks. Exit the control system program first, then cut off the power supply.

Installation and adjustment

When installing the press brake die, be sure to check the status of the equipment, then install and debug according to the steps, and pay attention to personal safety during debugging.

When installing the press brake die, first understand the machine performance, turn on the press brake, patiently adjust and check to see if the machine has dust and iron debris from previous use. Prevent unnecessary trouble for later use.

First check whether the ratio of the thickness of the press brake die to the upper and lower modules is normal. The general slider needs to be controlled at the switch point of the stroke line. This must be paid attention to, otherwise the die cannot be used normally, but some people still often make such mistakes.

After adjusting the slider stroke standard, the next step is to adjust the upper limit point of the module. Generally speaking, the module is up to the highest point, and the module and switch are set. In this way, the module can flow out of the stop position. Through the above operations, the production efficiency can be greatly increased. In this process, the module also needs to be slowed down. Because when the module goes down to the bottom dead center, the module must be slowed down, which protects the machine and the die.

Finally, the gap between the press brake dies should be adjusted. First, measure the gap between the upper and lower modules. The reasonable gap should be determined according to the plate being folded.

Adjusting the bending angle is also the most important step. The angle selection is definitely related to the product requirements. Generally speaking, when folding a 90° die, the middle angle must be set to be greater than the angles on both sides. Sometimes it may be tight, which can be handled by adjusting the screws on the machine. After adjustment, do not make any further changes if the product does not change the requirements. Then, when bending, use the pressure gauge to calculate the accurate pressure number and adjust the pressure. This is to avoid die chipping.
